We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team.

About the role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse by carrying out a variety of tasks. But this is not your ordinary warehouse store job, you will be picking and packing BUT also get a great opportunity to multi-skill and to get a great grounding in the hose and fittings industry!

You also get the chance to start a learning pathway that can provide you with great training and career opportunities - think Mobile Service Technician, Customer Service Officer or Area Sales Manager.

Your job will be a fantastic start to help the team ensure the best possible flow of product from Inwards Goods to Dispatch. Our goal is to make sure the right product is in the right place at the right time, every time.

Working in a warehouse environment with a great team, your tasks will include

  • Pick and dispatch hydraulic hose and fittings orders
  • Cut and dispatch hydraulic and industrial hose
  • Store materials and products in the appropriate locations within the warehouse
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed, Training given.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations
About the person

Previous warehouse or inwards goods experience would be beneficial but more important is to be enthusiastic, fit and a great team player.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable, fast and attention to detail and accuracy
  • A flexible, "can do" attitude
  • Basic computer skills and exposure to a range of hand tools
  • Must be able to undertake manual handling duties, including physical lifting
  • A current Forklift license would be advantageous
